What Will Happen?

The ancient Biblical name for Iran is “Elam.” Of the three sons of Noah (Shem, Ham, and Japheth), Elam was the first offspring of Shem. Elam is also known by the names Persia and Iran.

The Bible says there is much to happen yet with Elam. While we see the horrors of Islamic tyranny there today, the Book of Jeremiah tells us God will overthrow it and reign over it in righteousness… “Upon Elam I will bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven… and I will set My throne in Elam” (Jeremiah 49:35-38).

Isaiah prophesies that when Christ returns, He shall save His people from Islamic countries… “He shall recover the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros (upper Egypt), Cush (Sudan), Elam (Iran), Shinar (Turkey), and from Hamath (Syria), and from the islands of the sea (Isaiah 11:11).

Ezekiel prophesies how Christ will save the nations by judging terrorism… “There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which have gone down uncircumcised into the depths of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet they have borne their shame with others who go down to the pit” (Ezekiel 32:24).

The closing prophecy of Revelation says, “Who will not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy: for all nations shall come and worship before You; for Your judgments have been revealed” (Revelation 15:4).

Jesus offered forgiveness through His Cross “to all nations” and is not willing that anyone should perish. But when the trumpet of His return sounds, Justice – as this world has never seen it – will descend. IN the meantime, it is the responsibility of freedom-loving nations to help rescue the perishing and not turn a blind eye. God will take note who helps and who looks the other way.
