Don't Lose Heart

Jesus warned us that in the last days there would be perilous times and that it would be tempting to lose heart, but He encouraged His followers that He has overcome the world (John 16:33).
Do we grasp what it means that He has overcome the world? How does that affect us? It is so important that we understand this so we can handle the evil of this world without getting depressed through it all.
Jesus lived among a sinful world with corrupt leaders, and mobs seeking violence and STILL spoke Truth, STILL loved fully and STILL completed His mission. In spite of every attempt of the Evil One, He conquered sin and death, and rose victorious offering eternal life to all who call upon His name, as well as peace and victory for each day.
He promises us that through faith in Him, we too can overcome anything this evil world throws at us. Interestingly, scholars have documented 8,810 promises in the Bible, all of which we can find rest in, as not one has failed.
May we face this new week with courage, faith and confidence in the One who has promised to never leave us or forsake us. He has overcome this world, and we too can live victoriously in spite of all that is wrong. Don’t lose heart, dear ones.
