His Ways

“As for God, His way is perfect: the Word of the Lord is proven: He is a Shield to all those who trust in Him. For who is God, except Jehovah? And who is a Rock, except our God? It is God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect” (Psalm 18:30-32).

There is such peace of mind and heart in doing things God’s way. He assures us… “My thoughts/plans are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my plans than your plans” (Isaiah 55:8,9).  

There is a way that seems to right to people, in their own eyes and without the Lord’s counsel, but those roads lead to death (Proverbs 14:12). It is the age-old truth of one who is lost – always thinking the next path is the right one that will bring satisfaction and joy. God sent a prophet named Haggai to tell people to “consider their ways” so they might turn and seek the Lord.

Who is God? Jesus. He is Jehovah, the Great ‘I AM’. Who is a Rock? Jesus. We can plant our feet and build our lives safely on every Word He has spoken. He proved He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life, and His warning is that no one will reach Heaven without going through Him.

But to those who go through Him, the last pages of our Bible show multitudes, from every nation who trusted in Him, standing around the Throne of Heaven, singing… “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Right and true are Your ways!” (Revelation 15:3).

Blessed is everyone who reveres the Lord, who walk in His ways.
