God Prevails

From the newscasters at home, as well as abroad, there is a common thread seen: good is declared evil, and evil is supported and promoted as righteous. Clearly, these days present a spiritual war with spiritual blindness unlike anything we have ever seen. But behind all the lies and deceit that is pushed out front, is a great move of God!

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among all nations, I will be exalted in the earth” (Psalm 46:10). While the west frets over secularism, humanism, and Islam rising, there are 20 countries all in the southern hemisphere of our globe that are rapidly growing in Christianity. Churches are defying orders and gathering to worship; and Hope is alive where terror once ruled. These new believers aren’t afraid to die for their faith, and they are bold evangelists declaring the saving grace of God. Thousands gather at the local rivers by moonlight to be baptized.

May we be cautious to not fall into the trap that Martha did… stressing about the details of our individual life frustrations while the Savior of the world is in our very presence doing a mighty work that is eternal. Our view needs to back up and take in the Bigger Picture. He is prevailing against evil and saving souls. Do we see it?

Let us align our hearts and minds to His and then pray accordingly. “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand (prevail)” (Proverbs 19:21).

Be encouraged… God’s ways are like a mighty wave that cannot be stopped. Pray for hearts to be opened to His saving grace. And… “When the Gospel has been preached to the whole world, THEN the end shall come” (Matthew 24:14). Not long now, dear ones. Be encouraged.
