As In The Days Of Noah

God does not bring judgment lightly. “He is long suffering not willing that ANY should perish.” But when His patience has been abused, and his correction has been mocked, judgment comes and it is Holy and Just. It answers to no human rebuke or protest. It is Righteous.

There are similarities of humanity that ripple through the centuries and millennia, as if human nature has always struggled to submit to God, and “every person has sought their own way.”

We see in Noah’s day as well as in Lot’s day, that man became ARROGANT and would no longer receive correction. The Bible refers to this state of heart as “hardness of heart.” How can the Seed of God’s Words of Truth take root when it’s resting on cement-like soil? It can’t… and without roots growing and spreading, breaking up the soil and making pathways for water and oxygen, the heart grows harder and harder. This is what we are seeing in our society.

There was a deeply entrenched DISBELIEF in God… much like the demonic realm, they knew He was real but refused to submit to Him. The result, is a society that believes “it’s all up to them,” “no one is coming to save you,” and “the love of many grows cold” as they look out only for themselves. Selfishness gives way to its evil cousin, narcissism, and they separate themselves from anyone who preaches about the “love of God.”

A society can only survive so long in this selfish mindset. Convenience has become their God, and 75 million aborted babies worldwide last year reflects their desire to be unhindered and self-serving. The belief of NIHILISM (life is meaningless, combined with full rejection of all moral or religious constraints), has taken root! Because life is “meaningless” to them, they see no problem is taking the life of the unborn, or those they disagree with, and ultimately themselves.

May we recognize how late we are in God’s timeline for humanity. When hearts are no longer receptive to the Gospel and they begin to destroy all that God has given as good and worth preserving, the end is near. May we be bold in speaking the Truth. There is a portion of society that is still listening. Time is short. The Gospel still saves and the kind of worth people are seeking, is only found in Christ. They are loved, they are here for a purpose, and God desires that they would place their faith in Him and be saved for eternity. Share this Truth with great love.
