All Of You

You are in a spiritual battle each and every day for your allegiance, your emotions, your mindset, and it never takes a break. It is no wonder you find yourself tired and struggling to feel joyful. This warfare is intensifying and your spirit knows it! It doesn’t doubt that “Satan is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour,” or that you are being beaten on a threshing floor as “Satan desires to sift you like wheat.” The battle is real.
But there are tools that we must apply in these volatile days. “Draw near to the Lord and Satan will flee.” We must stay closer to our Savior so we can hear every small soft word that guides us. Our prayer and thought life must be unbroken; our communication with Him must increase. And we must fix our hearts in a posture of praise; “ALL that is within me, bless His holy name” (Psalm 103:1). By doing so, anxiety and depression cannot take root, and victory becomes the anthem of each day.
When we give God all of ourselves, there is a sweet rest to be found. “Come to Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Yes, it IS possible to be both a warrior for righteousness and be at rest.
An elderly, godly woman stated at Bible study that she fully intends to leave this world exhausted for the things of God; war beaten for the intercession she’s battled for others, and yet full of joy because she never hid from the war that raged for souls each day. May we learn from her and rise up in Holy strength. The battle desperately needs God’s children to step into their role… not partly, but completely.
