The Cure

Jesus said, “Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, and blasphemies.” Then, these things in the heart come out in words and actions that fill homes and nations with heartache and evil.
Sin is the root cause of all human suffering and death, and there is no cure but Jesus. By providing forgiveness of sins through His cross, and a new nature of righteousness by His Spirit, Jesus has provided the Cure for every human heart.
Jesus healed outwardly so people would know He had the power to heal inwardly. Sickness of body is temporary. Sickness of soul is eternal. Unless the sin nature is acknowledged, and repented of, eternal death is certain… “If we say we have no sin (nature), we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just (legally right) to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:8,9).
When people wonder why Jesus doesn’t step in and cure the world - He already has… “He was pierced for OUR transgressions (rebellions). He was bruised for OUR iniquities (offenses against God): the punishment that bought OUR peace was upon Him; and with His stripes WE are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). And when the Grace-period of His offer has expired, He will return to Judge the world in righteousness.
What joy, peace, and assurance belong today to each person who makes sure their hearts are right with God.
He took our sins and our sorrows,
And made them His very own,
He bore the burden to Calvary
And suffered and died alone.
How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be!
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me … and you!
