He Sees Your Faith

“The Lord is good, a Stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those that trust in Him.” – (Nahum 1:7)
This verse is from the little book of Nahum, which means “Comfort.” It is a book of God’s coming Day of Judgment but sandwiched between the details of His wrath are powerful assurances of individual safety, to those who love the Lord and stand for Him.
Jesus displayed this power of Deity constantly… “And Jesus seeing their faith said to the sick of the palsy, ‘Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.’” To the woman in the crowded streets who secretly touched the hem of His garment, Jesus saw what no one else could… “Daughter, be of good comfort; your faith has made you whole.” He knows those who trust in Him.
To the unknown servant in Jeremiah’s day, God sent a message of safety when the city was under siege… “I will surely deliver you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but your life shall be a prize to you: because you have put your trust in Me, saith the LORD.”
When the Apostle Paul was imprisoned a second time, he wrote… “All men forsook me; however, the Lord stood with me and strengthened me.” And then this triumphant truth was given… “And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me unto His Heavenly Kingdom: to Whom be glory forever and ever!” (2 Timothy 4:16-18).
What a powerful truth this is. He sees you – where you are, what you’re going through - and how you want to honor Him with your faith while awaiting His return. Rest assured, if you stand with God in these wicked and trying days, He stands with you.
