He Knows It All ...

There’s a comfort in knowing that God is fully aware of every hardship in our lives. We must not underestimate God’s ability to bring great good out of our present trials. Consider Joseph, who was stripped of his family identity, his family position, and his status as the “favorite” child, to become a slave, slandered, imprisoned, and seemingly alone… BUT GOD was with him all along. Joseph’s testimony is intended for us as well… “Man intended this for evil, BUT GOD intended this for good.”

God tenderly speaks to our human plight…  “Just as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. For He knows our frame and remembers that we are dust” (Psalm 103:13, 14).  He knows the toll this life has taken on you. He has a full account of all that the locust has eaten, and the thief has stolen.  He knows, and He cares.

But dear ones, there’s something else He knows…  “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).  And, His plans reach far beyond just this life, but into the ages to come.

May we rest our weary heads on His mighty chest and just rejoice that He knows it all, and He’s far from done with His great plans for us.  “In the (eternal) ages to come, He will show us the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:7).
