Changing The Outcome

God gave the prophet Isaiah a vision of the future for those in their city who thought they would prosper through evil… “Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land is devoured by strangers in your presence, and it is desolate!” Their outcome would be utter devastation (Isaiah 1).
Then God gave Isaiah a second vision of what the future really holds… “It shall come to pass in the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s House shall be established above all others, and all nations shall flow to it… nations will no longer lift sword against nation, neither shall they train for war anymore” (Isaiah 2).
The prophet Isaiah, having seen both ends, called out to the people of his day… “Come! Let us walk in the light of the Lord!” He urged them to choose Christ and change their ending. The outcome of their eternal destiny was up to them.
As we look at the mess of our world, God has certified, by Christ’s resurrection, that evil has an end. His return is guaranteed. The wicked who imagine themselves unstoppable today, have eternal judgment awaiting them. While those who choose Christ, have confidence, hope, and eternal good awaiting.
Christ is the Gift of Life, and time is the gift to choose grace and change the outcome. His work at the Cross changes us forever, by forgiving the past, making us right in the present, while preparing us for glory. He still calls.… “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins be as scarlet they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
Great peace and joy IS coming: “Come! Let us walk in the light of the Lord.”
