Behold Their Threatenings

Today Canada's Liberal Party will try to push through a “hate-speech” law, which, by their own admission, is intended to criminalize the Bible. People have signed petitions and Constitutional Lawyers will seek to defend our right to have it, quote it, and preach from it. But our true Supreme Court is Heaven’s Throne.

When the political and religious leaders threatened the early Church, they prayed… “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant to your servants, that with all boldness they may speak Your Word.” And when they had finished praying, “the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness… and with great power the Apostles gave witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all” (Acts 4:29-33).

May the Lord help us to be like these early dynamo Christians who “trumpeted out the Word of the Lord” so that everyone around them heard the Good News of Christ. We will keep our eyes on our Savior - we will keep sharing that He “came into the world to save sinners” - and we will keep proclaiming His soon return. Pray for Canada.
