Devotional by Cheryl Hall

“You will show me THE path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand there are pleasures forever more” - Psalm 16:11. The Bible gives us a bird’s eye view of many different lives, and the one common denominator is that people tend to choose the life of least resistance, but maximum gain for self. Not much has changed…

But Jesus calls us to a life of Purpose, often forged in the furnaces of heartache and loss. He calls us to “deny ourselves and pick up our cross and follow Him.” Even as far back as Noah, we see that his mission was to reach the lost for God, starting with his family… "Noah prepared for himself, and his family, an ark…” but nothing was easy.

To pursue God in the midst of a world spiraling in evil, is to face serious spiritual resistance to all that glorifies Him, but we must continue in "THE path of righteousness” laid out before us. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” - Galatians 6:9. It’s a somber thought that our witness may be what propels one towards God, or our silence could keep them from God. Our calling matters for eternity.

Friends, may we continue on this sacred path and share the Good News whenever we can; speak of His goodness and pray for hearts to be turned to Him while time remains. May we follow David’s example and boldly “Tell of His great Salvation all day long.”
