What Lies Ahead

There nothing quite as upsetting to our saved, eternal souls than to be surrounded by the handiwork of Satan - death, brutality, betrayals, lies, deceit and lawlessness. We are IN this world but not OF this world and our souls grieve and cry out to God for “His Kingdom to come, His will to be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” But we are here…

Like weary lambs we run to our Shepherd for comfort, and He reminds us that this dark valley that we travel in this world has an end and it is coming soon. How important it is to meditate on the fact that His Kingdom WILL come and with it a whole new reign of abundant life with Christ.

Can you imagine Heaven? Can you fathom the unending wonder of living our lives without heartache, pain, the separation of death, of fear, or the presence of sin? What a joy it will be to walk with God in the garden in the cool of the morning and thank Him for all He has done in our lives. Let your heart get a glimpse of the great reunion with your loved ones that have gone before. It’s true. It’s our Real story, one of victory through Christ that ends in our Permanent Home, together, forever. Oh how we need to remind ourselves, and remind each other, that this glory awaits us.

May we purpose to focus on all we have in Jesus, “For this world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God lives forever” (1 John 2:17).
