Unless A Grain Of Wheat Falls

“Precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of His saints” (Psalm 116:15).  What devastation is felt by the children of God when their leaders die! Despondency and hopelessness are tempting paths to take, but God has never allowed that to be our position. He calls us to rise, to obey, to pick up the mantle, and to be salt and light in our dark work.

This work is far more than us simply mustering up our own will, but a great calling of the Spirit of God. He lights a fire in souls that can’t be quenched, and they rise up in Holy reverence for the work that needs to be done for His Kingdom. After Moses died, God gave Joshua to lead them into the Promise Land. After Paul was beheaded, God used Timothy.

“Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies it remains a single seed, but in death, it brings a huge harvest” (John 12:24). This is the church’s opportunity to shine, to awaken like a lion and work like never before! We must serve Him with joy, not just duty, and be found of the Lord a faithful bride upon His return.

The question that is before us all is this… we have a short window of time; what will we do with it to bring souls to Christ? Doing nothing isn’t an option for the true Believer. It’s time to engage, speak Truth and love people as Jesus does. The behind-the-scenes work is essential! Prayer, prayer, and more prayer! Worship and praise always precedes the warriors; do that! There is work for everyone.

May we be found faithful!
