Unconquerable Faith

There are some things no trials of earth can conquer. Jesus said, “Whosoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:4,5)
We are thankful for so many present blessings. But there’s a deeper thankfulness that praises beyond circumstances - through tears, persecutions, and hardships - with eyes fixed on Christ, which cannot be swayed. Jonah thanked the Lord for his own salvation from the whale’s belly, Paul and Silas from prison, Hannah through the grief of barrenness, and David from a cave of exile. All of them looked beyond their present circumstances to the unconquerable hope we have in Christ… “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning… I will give thanks to you forever.”
Despite the oppressions and evils of this life, we can lift up the eternal praises that have rung through the halls of time… “My heart rejoices in the LORD, and my horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation.”
Great days are coming because Jesus overcame, and we overcome by faith in His death and resurrection for us. If we have seen His power and read His promises, how can we do anything else but sing in the darkness? He has promised… “There shall again be heard in this place…the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, ‘Praise the LORD of Armies: for the LORD is good; for His mercy endures forever!’ There are those also that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the House of the LORD… Behold, the days are coming, saith the Lord, that I will perform that good word which I have promised.”
How blessed are they who place their faith in Him!
