Our Hiding Place

Underground bunkers are in such demand that producers are unable to keep up. This is the desperate hope for safety of those who have no hope in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us where true safety is found…

“Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is COVERED… I acknowledged my sin to You, and my lawless deeds against You I have not HIDDEN. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord; and You forgave (lifted and removed) the guilt of my sin… You are my Hiding Place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance” (Psalm 32:1,5,7).

The words in capitals above, are the same word in Hebrew, meaning “concealed; kept secret.” The message to every reader is: those who are honest about their sins before God, find that Christ covers them with His blood, removing the stain, the guilt, and the penalty. Then He becomes our Hiding Place, comforting our hearts with His assurances of safety, in songs of love.

Forgiven, walking in the will of God, and held in His hands, is the Safest Place to be on earth, no matter the circumstances are around us. Our missionary parents used to say, “I’d rather be in God’s will in the most remote jungle, than out of His will in the safest city.”

What a joy to deposit our souls in Christ’s hands, from which nothing can pluck us out. And when the time of the Great Tribulation really does fall on this world, Jesus will return to gather His own. May we encourage others to run to Him for Refuge today while there is time.
