Only His Voice Matters

“Verily, verily, I say to you: The hour is coming, and is now, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so has He given to the Son to have life in Himself. And has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth – they that have done good, to the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation” (John 5:24-29).

The Voice of Jesus, that calmed the raging sea, made demons flee, and forgave sins, is the only Source of spiritual life. Very soon, He will give a shout that will open every grave and give physical life to the bodies in them. Those ignoring and rejecting His Word will find His was the only voice that mattered. What He called sin, is sin. What He defines as truth, is truth. Heaven is real, Hell is real.

For the Believer, the Voice we know and love, that comforts and strengthens our hearts each day through His Word, will call us upward and Homeward. The same Voice that shouted, “It is finished,” when He paid for our sins with His own blood, will also shout, “Rise up, My love, My fair one, and come away.”

Never fear the voices of men. The voice of Christ will shake the globe.
