None Like Him

In the very first chapter of the Gospel of John, Jesus is referred to by 16 names… “The Word, God, Creator, The Life, The Light, The True Light, Author of the new birth, Glory of the Father, The Only Begotten Son of God, The Eternal One, The Lamb of God, The Messiah, The God Who Sees, King of Israel, and God of Jacob (making Him also the Ladder to Heaven, and the Door to everlasting life).
No wonder John the Baptist said, “Whose shoes I am not worthy to untie.” Yet Jesus came to die for sinful humanity, and to gift everlasting life to all who will repent and receive Him - not grudgingly, not by coercion, not by peer pressure – but willingly and joyfully, into their lives, as the Greatest Treasure they’ve ever found.
It should, as the old hymn says, “melt our hearts with thankful tears” that One so Great should love us so much that He would come to die for us… “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For rarely for a righteous man will someone die: yet, perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commended His love toward us, in this, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:6-8).
As we watch the elites of Davos, we see the agenda of global communism, funded by global Islam, with the goal of erasing Christ and His righteous ways from the earth. What futility – the world tried that before. Although the wicked plan “great things,” against Christ and His people, God’s promise is, “Fear not, be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do greater things.”
How great is our God! There is none like Him. And we are safe forever in His hands.
