No Weapon

“No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, says the LORD” (Isaiah 54:17).
No weapon formed against the people of God shall prosper, and no tongue raised in condemnation will have the final say. And this is true first and foremost for Jesus. The weapon formed against Him was the Cross. But He used it to die for our sins, then arose. What was intended for evil, was turned to eternal good. What they intended to silence Christ, proclaimed Him to the ends of the earth. What was intended for humiliation, only magnified His glorious power and love.
And so is Christ’s power, to turn evil for good, towards all who love Him. The beatings given the disciples after Christ’s ascension only made them braver. The prisons only provided opportunity to win those inside. The slander and hatred that drew crowds only caused more to hear the Gospel. And the persecutions of the centuries have only spread the Good News of Christ, and the Pardon offered through the Cross, to the four corners of the earth.
The bigger picture is always and ever Romans 8:28… “And we know that ALL THINGS work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called (those who have answered the Gospel invitation), according to His purpose.” Hallelujah.
