God's Throne

John, who penned the vision of Revelation, was called upward so the Lord could show him what takes place after the Age of Grace… “And immediately I was in the spirit: and behold, a Throne was set in Heaven, and One sat on the Throne. And He that sat was to look upon like a Diamond and a Sardius stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like an emerald” (Revelation 4:2,3).
This is the first view every Believer sees the moment they leave this earth to be present with the Lord. This is the same Throne of Grace we’ve visited thousands of times in prayer, “to obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Here is the rainbow of grace that says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Jesus.” John saw every Believer in Christ gathered upward, rewarded, and praising the Lord before the Tribulation begins.
God gave this preview of His Throne so we won’t be distressed at those on lesser thrones here below. Here is the true Supreme Court. From this Throne the eyes of the Lord are testing the hearts of the children of men for righteousness and examining the rulers and judges of earth.
The Bible tells us that God has prepared His Throne for judgment. Because perfect justice and righteousness are the habitation of His Throne, mercy and eternal pardon are pre-emptively offered through the Cross of Christ, His Son. What glorious Hope we have been given!
As we watch prophetic events of the last days unfold on earth, what joy to know that perfect justice is promised. Iran thinks their surrounded, but our globe is surrounded by the Armies of Heaven. Heaven’s Help is near. The King is coming!
