God's Declaration To The World

Christ’s resurrection was a declaration to the world… “Jesus Christ our Lord, who was made of the seed of David according to the flesh and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead” – (Romans 1:4).
The resurrection of Christ proves everything He said was absolute truth and everything He did was done in righteousness. “It was impossible for death to hold Him.” Further, Jesus showed Himself alive to over 500 people, for over 40 days, by “many infallible proofs” before promising to return. This puts the whole world on notice… “God has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness by that Man whom He has pointed out, having given assurance to all men, in that He raised Him from the dead” (Acts 17:31).
There are millions of voices that want to be heard in this world. Most of them we let flow by as unimportant or untrustworthy. But Jesus’ resurrection was public, proven, and powerful – making His every word foundational, motivational, and life-giving. Jesus said, “The words that I speak to you are Spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). He warned His deniers, “He that rejects Me, and refuses My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same word shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48).
“Easter” comes from an old German word meaning “resurrection morning.” This celebration has reminded the world again of this Declaration. One day soon the breaking news of Christ’s return will fill the air. Many will mourn that they let His words slip by them as unimportant. How vital to take Him seriously, abide in His Word, serve Him joyfully, and prepare for His return now.
Maranatha.
