Awakened

Satan has a tested strategy that has proven fruitful for generations - keep the people distracted! Much like the cliff found in South Dakota that had thousands of buffalo bones strewn across the bottom of it, was testament to the strategy of the hunters, human and animal alike, that as long as they kept the buffalo running scared, distracted with the wolf nipping at its right and the injured and bleeding buffalo screaming to its left, it failed to look ahead, to see the cliff, and to realize how close death was.

“Be sober minded; be watchful! Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. Resist him; stand firm in the faith… (1 Peter 5:8,9).

Our world is in a constant state of fear and outrage… as they scream that we “have no kings,” that “open borders are compassionate,” that “free healthcare for all” is financially possible, that “climate deniers are killing the world...” that “killing babies is healthcare,” the list goes on and on… but what is NOT mentioned is the glaring cliff ahead with the sign that reads, “The wages of sin is death.” The other sign warned that “Life is like a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow. Prepare to meet thy God.” These are the REAL issues; the real danger. Nothing is as serious as entering eternity unprepared and Satan knows it!

The wise man sees the planned, well choreographed chaos all around him and through the noise he hears God say, “My child, seek My face,” and my heart responds, “Your face (alone) Lord, is all I seek” (Psalm 27:8). May we rise up in clarity of heart and mind with a singular focus - Jesus is near and eternity is rushing in.

May we be found watchful, with hearts that are set-apart for Him, sold-out for His work and focused on bringing more souls into the Peace and Joy of Heaven. This is everything Satan is desperately trying to keep you distracted from doing. Do it with all your heart.
