A Rod Of Iron

Every student of God’s Word knows we’re watching prophecy unfold before our eyes in the Middle East. We also know lasting peace will only come with Christ’s return. When it comes to prophecy, when the Bible doubles something, it is for emphasis. God quadruples something, it’s an alarm bell. There are four prophecies of Christ’s coming reign over the terror-loving nations…
“You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Be wise now therefore, all ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son (pledge allegiance to Christ), lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him (now)” (Psalm 2:9-12).
In Revelation, Jesus Himself promises the churches, that those who refuse participation in the world’s satanic-driven agenda today… “I will give power over the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received from My Father” (Rev. 2:26,27).
When Christ returns after the Tribulation… “Out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God” (Rev. 19:15).
The “Man-Child, who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron, who was “caught up to God and to His throne,” after defeating sin and death for all who thirst for righteousness, is returning as the long-awaited Prince of Peace. What a joy to set our hearts on Him.
