What Happens?

“All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD: and all the families of the nations shall worship before You. For the Kingdom is the LORD’s, and He is the Ruler among the nations” (Psalm 22:27,28).

Psalm 22 is a detailed prophecy of Jesus’ suffering on the Cross. It was the first verse of this Psalm that Jesus called out, “My God, My God! Why have You forsaken Me?” Had anyone stopped to wonder why He was quoting Psalm 22 and looked at it, they would have read the detailed description of Christ's crucifixion, happening in real time. Then perhaps they would have seen the last portion that describes His resurrection and return.

In a world determined to push Christianity out the back door, what happens that makes the whole world remember and turn to Him in worship, 2000 years later? The return of Christ in the air, gathering His blood-bought people out of this world, before His wrath falls.

At that moment, Israel “shall look upon Me whom they pierced and mourn” (Zechariah 12:10).  And they’re not alone… “All families of the earth shall wail because of Him” (Revelation 1:7). Millions left behind will agonize over their willful neglect of Him and repent. Yet the great Tribulation will be theirs to endure.

There are over 100 prophecies of Christ’s first appearing in the Bible which have been fulfilled. But there are over 300 about His return, making it the most guaranteed event of this world’s future. So keep your eyes on Jesus… “The Author and Finisher of our faith.”

He will return just as He promised.
