"Until I Come"

Jesus gave us three things to do until He returns. In the parable of the money, the Nobleman called his ten servants, and delivered to them ten pounds (minas), and said to them, “Occupy till I come.” This meant they should be about their Master’s business, trading for Him, doing what He would do, until He returns. This command speaks to our individual purpose in daily life, to reach the lost for Christ.

Jesus also gave to the Churches a ceremony of remembrance… “As often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes” (1 Corinthians 11:26). This command is for our personal joy and refreshment, as individuals yet as members of the Body of Christ, we remember the depths of His love for us in a world reveling in the depths of Satan.

And to the churches of the last days, this command reminds us that faithfulness is bountifully rewarded in Christ's Kingdom: “That which you have, hold fast till I come. The one who overcomes, and keeps My works to the end, to him will I give power over the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of My Father. And I will give him the Morning Star. He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches” (Revelation 2:25-29).

Sharing Christ’s work, remembering the depths of His love, and holding fast to His Word while the nations descend into anarchy, is only “Till I Come.” Our time for loving service is shorter than we grasp – and the time of Christ’s return is nearer than we grasp. May His promise “Till I Come” lift your heart.
