Sowing In Tears

“When the Lord turned back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said, ‘The Lord has done great things for them!’ The Lord has done great things for us, of which we are glad! Turn back our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goes forth with precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” (Psalm 126).
Not all captivity is physical. Being slaves to sin and to Satan is a worse captivity than all the wicked regimes combined because one day evil dictators die. But being a slave to sin can end, by the unrepentance of the captive, in the eternal Lake of Fire.
A dangerous demon-possessed man, who lived among the tombs, went naked, and cut himself often, was one of the first people to trust Jesus in the Decapolis area. Jesus cast out the “legion” of demons destroying the man’s life, and by the time the people from town arrived, the man was sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind.
Jesus said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and has had compassion on you.” The man went out and published throughout the entire city what great things Jesus had done for him (Mark 5:19).
But make no mistake on this Holocaust Remembrance Day. The same Jesus who sets us free from sin’s captivity, will rescue the nation He created from the demonic hatred we’re seeing today. For now, Jesus is the Sower. The Precious Seed is the Gospel of Salvation. And the Harvest is all who place their faith in Him.
Are you sowing in tears with all the wickedness in our world? Keep sharing the Precious Seed. The Harvest is ripe. The resurrection of the First Sheaf guarantees it. One day this world will be clothed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, and in its right mind – and the Throne of Heaven’s King will reign from Mt. Zion. Joy is coming.
