Just One Message

A top journalist was praised for a coveted award he had just won. As microphones were all around him capturing this momentous occasion, he was asked what his most important story or message has been. He replied that the message that God left heaven to come to earth to die for our sins and is coming back one day soon for those that place their faith in Him. “This is the only real message that matters. If I win every earthly reward but my children do not know God, I will consider my life a failure.” It was a poignant moment… no other questions followed…

The Apostle Paul had a powerful testimony! A Pharisee, cruel and heartless in his killing of Christians, from the old to the young. He was not only respected by all, but feared by many as he wielded his power freely. But when God blinded him on the road and spoke to him from Heaven, his life was forever changed. He was humbled before God Almighty and would from this moment forward consider himself the “Chief of sinners.” God’s saving grace was the ONLY message that mattered to him, now.

Paul made it clear that he was no longer the man he used to be, but a new creation in Christ, with ONE message… “And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing among you EXCEPT Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:1-2).

May this same Singular message consume our hearts and minds as we see the day of Christ’s return quickly approaching. No other message can save lives for eternity. We must share it with everyone we know.
